GROWTH EQUITY
The CleanSource Growth Equity Fund invests $5 - $15 million in high growth manufacturing, distribution, and services companies focused on Energy Performance - energy efficiency, energy management, and clean energy. CleanSource invests in business models with market accepted products and services and proven technologies.
Sectors of Focus:
- Energy efficiency products and services
- Energy management, smart grid, and energy storage
- Clean energy generation companies, using technologies that reduce fossil fuels and carbon emissions
Investment Criteria:
- U.S. based companies
- Enterprise value between $5 - $50 million
- Established revenue
- Profitable or near-term cash flow breakeven
- High growth rate and strong gross margins

COMMUNITY ENERGY
CleanSource Community Energy (CSCE) enables the participation of low-income communities in the clean energy economy. CSCE uses New Markets Tax Credits financing to augment private capital investments in qualified renewable energy and energy efficiency projects that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to finance. CSCE works closely with key low-income community stakeholders to provide investments that generate wealth creation for low-income residents, quality green collar jobs, and a healthier and sustainable environment.
The U.S. Treasury Department has certified CSCE as a Community Development Entity focused on the Southeast and Gulf Coast region which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Investment Criteria:
- Target Sectors: Qualifying Active Low-Income Community Businesses focused on sectors consistent with APC’s Growth Equity and Project Equity initiatives
- Total Transaction Size: $5 million or greater
The Community Energy Fund has an additional Board of Advisors which focuses on how renewable energy and energy efficiency can meet needs within low-income communities.

Abundant Power Capital invests in selected projects along with a proprietary group of institutional investors. APC is pursuing these investments in anticipation of raising the CleanSource Project Fund.

- APC Investment Size: $5 - $50 million
APC also selectively co-develops projects with companies with distinct technologies or service approaches.

Founded in 2001, Pathfinder Capital Advisors and Pathfinder Renewables have offices in Charlotte, Washington D.C. and New York.
